About the Role
We have an immediate opening for an IT Intern. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized IT Intern to join our team. In this position, you will work closely with the IT department to support the coordination and execution of various IT projects and processes for the company.
Responsibilities
- Installing and configuring hardware and software.
- Replacing or repairing the necessary parts.
- Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
- Managing multiple cases at one time.
- Testing and evaluating new technologies.
- Conducting electrical safety checks on equipment.
- Maintaining IT hardware asset sheets.
- Managing the IT budget, having sound knowledge of IT Equipment purchases, and providing support after office hours if needed.
- Ensuring technology solutions meet business needs.
- Leading team members for IT solutions and ensuring they have the IT resources to resolve their issues.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and security standards for company data security, and taking care of the office server by providing any support when needed.
- Overseeing the implementation of new technology solutions to ensure smooth IT activities in the company as per changing business needs.
- Managing vendor relationships.
- Staying up-to-date with technology trends and advancements to ensure smooth business operations and leveraging changing IT trends beneficially for the company.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Certification in Microsoft, Linux, or Cisco is advantageous.
- Prior experience of 1 to 2 years in tech support or a similar role.
- Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
